Innovative
new products help VoIP Gateway provider secure inclusion in the
industry acclaimed list
27th September 2004
London, UK, 27th September 2004: VegaStream, the leading supplier
of dedicated business VoIP (Voice over IP) Gateways, announced
today that it has been selected as part of the pulver 100. The
pulver 100 Awards are designed to recognize 100 private companies
in the global communications sector that have achieved exceptional
real-world deployments and enjoyed significant growth rates in
the past 12 months.
Since it was founded in 1998, VegaStream's focus has been the
seamless interoperability between the huge and varied legacy of
PSTN interfaces and new IP networks. As one of the earliest suppliers
of VoIP gateways supporting SIP the company has experienced quarter-on-quarter
growth for the last 6 quarters. Today VegaStream's portfolio of
gateways are recognised as best-in-class SIP VoIP gateways for
products such as Nortel Networks MCS5100, MCS5200 and Siemens
OpenScape.
Other major achievements include VegaStream's partnering with
other suppliers of VoIP applications such as leading edge voice
recognition, voice response and VoIP over mobile products, enabling
connectivity between their products and traditional PSTN networks.
The company has also recently been deployed by major global service
provider networks such as Primus Communications and won contracts
with the US Navy. In addition to these headline deployments, VegaStream
gateways are increasingly being deployed in mainstream enterprise
networks to reduce the cost of everyday business communications.
"The pulver 100 list seeks to include the companies that
represent the future of the communications ecosystem. We believe
the value chain characterized by the companies included in 2004's
pulver 100 differs substantially from the vertically integrated
telecom model of the last century," said Jeff Pulver. "VegaStream
has shown dedication to the communications industry. With considerable
expansion over the past 6 years it is beginning to show real momentum
and has proved itself as a valued member of the pulver 100 list."
"VegaStream's VoIP gateways have been deployed by organizations
world wide to enable them to enjoy the advantages of VoIP such
as flexibility and low call costs, " said Tim Burne CEO VegaStream.
"VegaStream has shown exceptional growth in the past 12 months
and introduction of innovative new products to our portfolio of
VoIP gateways has meant that even more government organizations,
enterprises and service providers are realizing the benefits of
a fully open and interoperable VoIP solution."

Expo, Boston, MA 18th - 21st Oct on stand 841.
