7th March 2005
Los Angeles, CA and London, England - March 7, 2005 - IVR Technologies, a leading software developer for IP enhanced services and real-time billing, participated at the 21st Century Communications Worldforum as a solution partner providing its Talking SIP as the platform of choice for BT's sponsored VoIP calling demonstration. BT selected Talking SIP to work in an integrated configuration with the Siemens HiPath 8000 IP-PBX and VegaStream 400 gateways in order to provide delegates with the opportunity to place calls from the event floor to the PSTN, as well as access other BT network based premium services. IVR Technologies' Talking SIP is a robust, feature rich software solution that integrates an app server, a billing server and a media server into a unified solution. Talking SIP offers real-time interactive voice services and billing through a complete suite of service ready, revenue generating enhanced service applications. Talking SIP performs real-time call processing via SIP messaging and provides independent, script-controlled interactive voice response (IVR) prompting over the real-time transport protocol (RTP). Requiring only an Ethernet LAN 10/100 Mbps connection, Talking SIP eliminates the need to consume costly public switched transport network (PSTN) ports, while offering centralized intelligence to the network. "We are proud to be working closely with BT, a recognized leader in global communications, to showcase our Talking SIP software at this years 21st Century Communications Worldforum. To have been selected by BT to be an integral part of their demonstration and to be deployed alongside such industry leaders as Siemens and VegaStream, highlights BT's confidence in IVR Technologies as a company and Talking SIP as a best-in-class product" said Barry S. Sher, VP Business Development, IVR Technologies. When we were asked to provide and demonstrate VoIP from the event we needed a billing engine that would allow us to not only offer a service but also control costs using prepay billing accounts. After some rapid research, Talking SIP appeared to do all we needed so we approached IVR Technologies with less than a week to go and they demonstrated their flexibility and commitment to making this happen. Along with VegaStream, IVR Technologies was able to deliver a complete solution in very short timescales" said Gary Shainberg VP, Technology and Innovation BT Group CTO.
