VoIP Gateway vendor opens office as Asia-Pacific
get set to follow the US
London, UK, 9th March 2005: VegaStream, the leading vendor of dedicated business VoIP (Voice over IP) Gateways, today announced the opening of an Asia Pacific office in Sydney as a result of its growing local customers and partners in the region. The office will be staffed by industry veterans Anthony Wong who has been appointed as VP Asia Pacific and Chris Papaioanou who will take on the position of South Pacific Sales & Marketing Director. Together the pair has a combined industry expertise of over 50 years. As part of the company's expansion, VegaStream also plans to build its channel network in Asia Pacific and is in the process of appointing channel partners. Gartner estimates that in the region traditional PBX extensions will fall from 98 percent of the installed base in 2003 to 27 percent in 2008.
