24th August 2004 London, UK, 24 August 2004: VegaStream, the leading supplier of dedicated business VoIP (Voice over IP) Gateways, today announced their membership to Mitel's MiSolutions Network (MiSN) third party provider program. VegaStream's portfolio of VoIP gateways complements Mitel products such as the Mitel 3100 and 3300 Integrated Communications Platforms and enables standards-based IP networking between these products and non-IP enabled systems. MiSN members benefit from Mitel's broad distribution channel of over 500 resellers and distributors. VegaStream gateways provide standards-based IP networking of 3100 ICP systems and 3300 ICP systems with non-IP enabled equipment and IP networking between Mitel products and service provider VoIP networks. "This relationship with Mitel Networks is of great significance to VegaStream," said Tim Burne, CEO, VegaStream. "As a member of the MiSN program, VegaStream now has the ability to provide SIP-based interfaces for connection to other vendor systems or network elements. For service providers who want to use standards-based protocols to network with Mitel equipment, this seamless interoperability further strengthens our product portfolio and our value to customers." VegaStream VoIP gateways support the full range of analog, ISDN Basic Rate and ISDN Primary Rate interfaces. VegaStream VoIP gateways have proven interoperability with the 3100 ICP and 3300 ICP systems and a typical deployment may use ISDN Basic Rate interfaces for connection to smaller sites and ISDN Primary Rate interface for larger sites. VegaStream gateways support standards-based SIP and H.323 interfaces to network Mitel ICP systems with non-IP enabled equipment and service provider VoIP networks.
