VegaStream named Top Five Exporter in the UK Technology Innovation and Growth Awards

London, 31st March 2005: At the European Technology Forum's 2005 UK Technology Innovation and Growth awards, sponsored by PriceWaterhouseCoopers, VegaStream, the leading vendor of dedicated business VoIP (Voice over IP) gateways, was named as one of the Top Five Exporters of the Year.

The award, in its seventh year, celebrates companies and individuals that have demonstrated the innovation and entrepreneurial flair that is vital to the health and growth of the UK technology industry. VegaStream was commended for its efforts in expanding into foreign markets, creating new customers and for building a quality local partnering network.

This year VegaStream opened its Asia Pacific HQ in Sydney, Australia to augment its UK office in Bracknell (EMEA office), and the US office based in San Diego that covers the Americas. The company has recently signed a pan-European distribution deal with Azlan. Notable export customers include next generation telcos in Austria (Priority) and Bulgaria (Orbitel), established ITSPs such as the US' Primus and enterprise customers such as the US Navy.
