VegaStream Supports Node4 SIPlink Service
Compatibility with Vega IP Gateways enables Node4 to offer SIP Trunking to migrating customers
Bracknell, UK – 26th November 2007 - VegaStream, the industry leading developer of reliable, cost effective and easy to use telephony media gateways, has announced it has successfully completed interoperability testing with Node4, a managed technology provider. The agreement will enable Node4 and its channel partners to attract new customers by interconnecting end users’ existing PBXs to the Node4 SIPlink service by VegaStream Vega IP Gateways.
"VoIP has widespread appeal to all companies by its ability to reduce call costs and improve productivity with the introduction of new flexible services. The potential disruption to the business and the need to protect legacy PBX investments though deters many companies from deploying VoIP today," said Steve Davis, EVP Sales and Marketing, VegaStream."Gateways bridge the gap and allow end users a seamless and non-disruptive migration from the old world of ISDN to the new world of VoIP, in addition to sweating their PBX assets.
The Vega Gateways interoperability with Node4’s SIPlink service eases the provisioning of VoIP and allows channel partners to offer the low call costs and flexibility of SIP trunking to a wider audience of end users."
"Node4’s SIP Trunking service, SIPlink, is a response to companies demanding a more flexible approach to communications and reduced call costs. It was developed to provide organisations of any size with cost effective voice services over any broadband connection without the need for large capital investment,” said Paul Bryce, Business Development Director, Node4.
"Interoperability with VegaStream extends the reach of SIPlink and enables our channel partners to access new markets and revenue streams they couldn’t otherwise enter with a valuable, risk free proposition for both them and the end user."
Testing was conducted on the full range of Vega IP Gateways including its enterprise focussed Vega 5000, the Vega 400 and the recently announced remote/branch office solution, the Europa 50. All of the gateway family proved interoperable with Node4 SIPLink enabling more businesses a cost-effective and reliable way to connect to next generation networks.
